The headline for the Trip was “Bridges and Borders” and with this we also mean bridges and borders that exist in the mind of people.
We started our tour from Silkeborg Højskole on Monday the 10th of September 2007 together with the politic team.
As you could see on T-4 day we stopped at the Museum about the battle of 1864 and maybe Nutella wasn’t that important at this time but it was now for us, since it’s more expensive in Denmark (well they lost the battle) and we ate a lot on the trip.
T-3 day lead us across the border and we were armed with lot’s of good spirit, a guitar and many songs…
We stopped at a campsite close to the see and were warmly welcomed by lot’s and lot’s of wild bunnies who jumped around us when we set up our tents, they were not really afraid of us and probably had a good time observing us while we made our camp ….
T-2 day
Well we did actually not really march for 5 hours but the Bus did…because that was approx. the time we needed to drive the last bit of way to Berlin.
T day
In the morning the group split up in smaller teams and were armed with photo- and video cameras to make little researches on bridges and borders in Berlin, and to ask people from questions about their opinions to these topics.
After that we meet again an visited the Berlin Wall Museum at Checkpoint Charlie.
And in the evening we had the chance to see a Theatre Play. Romeo & Julia.
T+2 day
We had a little walk around in Berlin Kreutzberg which is a very multicultural part of the city
and in the evening a little photo challenge was a good possibility to see some more of Berlin especially by night. As you could hear already our group of girls was very enthusiastic and won the competition in the end.
T+3 day
At this day we had the chance to visit the former Stasi prison “Hohenschönhausen” and our guide was very good in describing the conditions and the whole agenda that stood behind this place during the separation of Germany.
T+4 and T+5 day
These two days are pretty much presented in the former article just one more thing to mention...during a long bus ride it only takes 10 Minutes and 45 Seconds until the whole bus is asleep...The whole bus??? No there is a tiny little village which performs constant resistance...ähhh uups this was another story.
