Three morning assemblies in a row!!!
On the 5th, 6th and 7th of February EuroClass were supposed to prepare a Morning Assembly for Silkeborg Hřjskole. Of course we were very stressed about that because we knew that EuroClass Morning Assemblies were a huge success in the Autumn Semester. We didn't want to make our standard lower this time, so after analysing mistakes and shortcomings from previous projects – we got down to work!
We decided that we had to find some kind of theme, mainly thorough small projects. But what is the most interesting thing about EuroClass?! Of course.......EUROCLASS!
We wanted to introduce ourselves somehow to give a chance for Danish people to know us better.
So that everybody could work with what he/she is best, we divided EuroClass in 3 groups. The Monday group was supposed to present EuroClass students as individuals as part of one big family:) So we prepared slides with our beautiful, international faces with the soundtrack from 'Shrek' as a background. After that we showed a remake music video of Prodigy's 'Voodoo people'. The main point was to show EuroClass running to the Assembly Hall with blindfolds and tied hands ( Carsten did that:), just like in the original voodoo people video. You knooowww...sometimes we feel like that...when it's 8.30 (from my point of view it's still night), everybody looks like swollen, sleepy monsters and we have to go for Morning Assembly every day...We love it!
Second part of Monday Morning assembly was a reality show with Lena as the presenter, me as a translator and the rest of EuroClass as guests.
The second day of our work was supposed to show what we are actually doing in EuroClass...so...
Tuesday group got an idea to present the main keywords which characterises us as EuroClass and make some scenes to them. First word on the screen – DEMOCRACY and great puppet theater to it. Black clothes, white gloves and UV light – amazing effect.
Next word RELIGION. During this show we sang a beautiful Taizé song which no doubt the entire school participated in. They got used to singing it every day:)
Third word VOLONTARY WORK – we played a funny game. In fact the students were supposed to put themselves together and keep very tight because the other students – fruit pickers – were supposed to pick them up! It was extremely funny and laborious work!
Fourth word COOPERATION – Kamilé presented kind of game with a rain sound..people had to touch their hands in different ways – soft and hard 'clapping'..If you close your eyes you really believe that it's raining inside!
The last key word EUROPEAN UNION..and... ladies and gentleman!! 12 Star Dance!
We made a circle and we showed how the European flag can be alive!
Wednesday's Morning assembly was very special. We decided that school must know that EuroClass is freaky and unpredictable so... we made Wednesday's Morning Assembly on Tuesday night!
It was supposed to be a scary scary night so around the school team 3 made special stations – dark rooms with candles, frightening fairy tales......
In one place Magda and Eve projected on the wall fragment of 'The Ring' movie. It was really disgusting and..cool!
After visiting all the stations we asked everybody to go outside where Kamilé was sitting on the roof and she wanted to jump! :)
To sum up – The morning assembly project achieved great success. We surprised everybody and we showed that EuroClass has very unusual ideas. Be ready for more!
