Waterloo

On a not that beautiful spring day we arrived at Waterloo. Roman was really excited (but he was the only one :) ). We got the tickets, with the entrance code to the wax museum and here came the first challenge for the day, remember the entrance code!!!

After the „very delicious” bus lunch we started to climb up on Lion Mound. This was the first unplanned training for the marathon team. The first ones ran up to the top, and started to take pictures of our struggling with the stairs. Finally everybody got up to the top, and had a very impressing view. It was compelling. You see the great battle field. Which basically means that you see....a field, you know this flad piece of ground with grass on top :).

To understand the whole battle, there was a stone board with little different coloured stickers representing Napoleon’s and the united forces...in french (which makes the whole understanding part interesting when you don’t speak the language). Thus Morten gave us a short brief about the battle.

Unfortuantely in the morning rush somebody from our group forgot to take shower thus we had to figth with a lot of small flyes.

Afterwards we had the free time to visit the Panorama and the Wax museum. The best thing was the audio show with the movie.
