Euro trip - Prague

So, our trip in the Czech Republic was a little bit rainier than we would have liked to. But this weather is typical for fall in middle Europe.

We came to the Czech Republic from Dresden, Germany and one time we were quite lost but in the end we finally arrived to Prague. We were quite tired after the way so we just saw the Old town square and later we went to the hill called Letna to see the lights of Prague from the prospect platform, I guess one of the most beautiful places to see the city especially in the  evening.

After wards we just went back to the hostel, which was really nice inside and we had a coyz evening. The next day we had a quite busy schedule, we visited Prague castle, Charles bridge, belvedere of Queen Ann with royal garden, cathedral of st. Vit and a lot of old buildings which were build in different styles. Afterward some of us came back to the hostel and rest a little and the others we went to the military show it was in honour of the Independence day (28.10. 1918) of Czechoslovakia, it should be one of the biggest show in the history of Czech Republic with a lot of interesting small shows with a lot of military stuff plus air force, but the reality was different like usually, we went there half hour late so we missed the military part but we saw the  public service (police, ambulance, fire cars and ….) and the huge air force show was only one old helicopter, so without the others 12 helicopters and without 2 battle planes, so it was quite boring and the way back to the hostel was really interesting because the most of the people from a show used the underground like us, quite uncomfortable.

Later on we went to Laterna Magika where we saw the stage play, what something where the actors play in film and also on the stage, it was quite fun with easy plot but nice and different. And again the way back to the hostel.

Finally the last day in Prague which we spend in National museum where we could find a lot of information about history of Czechoslovakia and some basic stuff about the beginning of Czech Republic. Our last evening was different than the others, we were in a Czech restaurant, we drank there a Czech beer and some of us ate the typical Czech food with dumplings.

And after almost two weeks on tour we were glad to arrive back home to the Højskole.
