A full week with the topic "climate"
The global warming week was really great. It started Monday morning at the
assembly hall where the "Moder Jord" (mother earth) sect (played by the
teachers)told us that today is "dommedag" (doomsday). They wanted to start
an atomic bomb to destroy the earth because we treated it so bad and so
human kind wasn't worth to live. Because of that we spent the morning on
different posts to show the sect that we were worth to live and that we can
change ourselves. We worked so well together at the teamwork exercise that
accidentally a chair from the assembly hall broke.
Maybe they are not built for ten persons on it at the same time.
In the afternoon Phillip Kruse Jacobsen held a speech about the scientific
researches and the actual status of the global warming. It seemed that many
people here got inspired by the speech and in the evening people shut off the
lights more than usually. On Thursday morning we were at Energy Midt,
the local energy supplier, where they explained us how to save energy.
After the lunch we watched the film "There will be blood", a film about someone
who is so into earning money out of oil that he puts everything else,
especially people beside.
The teachers had planned something very special for Wednesday:
A twenty-four hour climate marathon. We could choose a workshop and work on our
projects until Thursday morning. The project subjects were music, art, philosophy,
animation and film and "what can I do?". I was in the "what can I do?"- project and it
was amazing to see how the ideas developed through the day. Many peopleworked
until late in the night to finish their projects and the outcome was amazing.
The presentation of the projects on Thursday morning was very successful. It's great
what so many people can do in just 24 hours. Thursday afternoon the "Mother earth"
sect decided that we were now able to take better care of the earth alone and they
moved away, but the spirit of the theme week lasted longer, during the whole
prolonged weekend and hopefully for the next weeks as well.
